Victoria Outdoor is an established landscaping business providing quality outdoor landscaping, paving and related services across residential projects. We are seeking a qualified, experienced Tiler to join our team and complete tiling, paving, and surface-finishing work as part of our landscaping projects. The role involves preparing surfaces, installing tiles and pavers, applying adhesives and grout, interpreting plans and ensuring high-quality workmanship and safe work practices.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare surfaces for tiling and paving works
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and project specifications
- Prepare substrates and surfaces before installation
- Lay wall and floor tiles across indoor and outdoor areas as required
- Install outdoor tiles, pavers and other suitable surface finishes
- Cut and shape tiles and paving materials to required dimensions
- Apply adhesives, grout, sealants and other installation materials
- Ensure appropriate falls, levels and drainage requirements for outdoor areas
- Complete tiling around garden areas, outdoor structures and landscaped spaces
- Inspect completed work and rectify defects where required
- Maintain accurate measurements and minimise material wastage
- Safely operate relevant hand and power tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements
- Coordinate with landscapers, contractors and other trades on site
- Complete work within agreed project schedules and quality standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent trade qualification
- Relevant experience as a Tiler
- Demonstrated experience in wall and floor tiling, paving and outdoor tiling works
- Ability to read plans, measurements and project specifications
- Sound knowledge of tiling materials, adhesives, grout and installation methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to safely use tiling tools and equipment
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Relevant construction or industry licences/cards where required
