Due to ongoing business needs, we are seeking experienced and motivated Wall and Floor Tilers to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

·Examine plans, specifications and work areas to determine tiling requirements and plan the layout of tiles.

·Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old coverings, cleaning, levelling and carrying out necessary preparation before installation.

Measure and mark surfaces to ensure tiles are positioned accurately and achieve the required finish.

·Cut and shape tiles using appropriate hand and power tools to fit edges, corners, fixtures and other required areas.

·Prepare and apply adhesives and bedding materials and position tiles accurately on walls and floors.

·Check tile alignment, spacing and levels throughout installation and make adjustments where necessary.

·Apply grout between tiles, remove excess material and clean and finish tiled surfaces.

·Install different types of wall and floor tiles in accordance with project specifications and required quality standards.

·Identify and replace cracked, damaged or incorrectly installed tiles as required.

·Maintain tools and work areas and follow relevant workplace health and safety procedures.

·Coordinate with supervisors, clients and other trades to ensure tiling work is completed efficiently and within project schedules.

Skills and Experience

·Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler.

·Demonstrated ability to read and interpret building plans, drawings and project specifications.

·Sound knowledge of wall and floor tiling methods, surface preparation, tile installation and finishing techniques.

·Experience working with a range of tiling materials, adhesives, grouts and associated products.

·Ability to accurately measure, cut, position and align tiles to achieve a high-quality finish.

·Good understanding of relevant workplace health and safety requirements and safe use of tiling tools and equipment.

·Strong attention to detail with good practical and problem-solving skills.

·Good time-management skills and the ability to complete assigned work within project deadlines.

·Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
