The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Welder / Fabricator to join our team. The successful applicant will assist with the fabrication, assembly, and welding of structural steel components and support our steel frame manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabrication and welding of structural steel members, beams, columns, lintels, brackets, and connection plates.
* Read and interpret engineering and workshop drawings.
* Measure, cut, drill, grind, and prepare steel components for assembly.
* MIG welding of structural steel components.
* Assembly of light gauge steel frames and trusses when required.
* Operate workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
* Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Assist with loading, unloading, and general workshop duties.
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator or relevant industry experience.
* Experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Competent in MIG welding and fabrication techniques.
* Forklift licence (preferred but not essential).
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
