Kingsley Holdings Pty Ltd require experienced Welders / Metal Fabricators to join their team in Bibra Lake, WA.

You will be responsible for marking off and fabricating steel components and brackets, modifying chassis frames, installing tank bodies and other associated parts to make and install structures including pressure vessels and tanks.

Key Duties will include:

  • Study blueprints, drawings or specifications to determine appropriate welding processes and other job requirements
  • Set up welding and drilling machines.
  • Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by flame-cutting, thermal cutting, gouging, beveling, grinding or filing;
  • Fit attachments, connect hoses to gas bottles, or wires to power sources of equipment used in welding operations;
  • Adjust control to regulate gas pressure, voltage or amperage;
  • Open valves or switches and light torches, strike arc or start machines;
  • Lift parts into position.
  • Clamp, bolt, or tack-weld parts in place for final welding or bolting.
  • Fit and assemble metal components by riveting, bolting, welding, brazing or soldering;
  • Guide torches or electrodes along lines of weld manually or by operating machine controls;
  • Weld and fabricate plates, structures as required.
  • Cut, file, and grind seam and joint to attain specified fit, using cutting torch, file, and power grinder
  • Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling or grinding;
  • Climb framework or ladders to position, fit, or secure parts
  • Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing or sanding
  • Correct PPE use and safe working procedures
  • Work both in a team environment and without supervision
  • Giving job instructions and communicating with fellow workers of different nationality.
  • Maintain job site costing (time/job cards) and plant maintenance records.
  • Confined space entry procedures (when required) and the use of power tools (sanders, grinders and oxy equipment).
  • Comply with all Company health and safety policies and procedures and obligations under, the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Provide back-up cover for other roles within the Workshop team.
  • Undertake special projects as instructed by the Workshop Foreman/Supervisor or Company directors.

To be considered you will need to hold a relevant trade certification and at least 4 years relevant experience.

A remuneration package of $110,000 - $140,000 will be offered to the successful candidates. This is a full time position working Monday to Friday.
