Your new role
As the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations while leading and supporting a team of tradespeople to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.Key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and coordinating workshop personnel and daily activities
- Allocating work and monitoring workflow priorities
- Ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
- Promoting a positive team culture and leading by example
- Assisting with workforce planning and resource allocation
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor or similar leadership role
- Trade qualification as a Fitter or Boilermaker
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- The ability to motivate, mentor, and develop team members
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive and hands-on approach to leadership
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- A personality that aligns with a collaborative and supportive team environment
