Yardhand / Forklift Labourer

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Labourer with a current Forklift Licence to work with our client in Brooklyn, VIC.

This is a long-term, fullhours role working primarily outdoors in a busy equipment yard. This is not just a forklift position – you will be hands-on with wash bay, yard and general labouring duties throughout the day.

You will be doing:

• Primarily outdoor work
• Taking responsibility for the Wash Bay
• Loading and unloading equipment and spare parts using a counterbalance forklift
• Moving equipment including pumps, generators, road barriers and other hire equipment
• Washing equipment using a high-pressure washer
• General yard organisation and housekeeping
• Workshop and yard clean-up
• Assisting Workshop Mechanics as required
• Manual handling and moving equipment around the yard

What we are offering:

• 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
• $40 per hour
• 38 hours every week – NOT day-to-day work
• Overtime available at penalty rates
• Stable Monday–Friday roster
• Safe and well-organised work environment

You must have:

• Current Forklift Licence
• Good experience operating a counterbalance forklift
• Be fit and capable of performing manual labouring duties throughout the day
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a wash bay environment
• Good safety awareness around mobile plant, equipment and pedestrians
• Reliable and looking to commit to 38 hours per week plus overtime when required
• Own transport and current Driver Licence
• Full Australian working rights

Experience working in an equipment hire yard, construction yard, workshop or similar industrial environment would be highly regarded.
