Yardman
- Loading and unloading freight using a forklift.
- Organising the yard and managing incoming and outgoing freight.
- Maintaining safety standards and supporting the team.
Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the key responsibilities of this role as however are not limited to the following:
- Loading/Unloading using a forklift and moving freight and materials throughout the yard into trucks, containers etc.
- Organising the yard and incoming and outbound of freight and trucks coming into the depot
- Maintaining high safety standards and adhering to load restraint guidelines.
- General maintenance of the yard
- Providing support to the wider team as required

We are currently seeking an experienced Yardman to join our diverse team on a casual basis. The Yardman role is responsible for loading, unloading, organizing and maintaining the yard.
The desired candidate will obtain the below skills and experience:
- LF license essential
- Solid experience loading and unloading trucks
- Experience within the transport industry or demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and be highly organized
- A proactive attitude, a high degree of initiative and a positive approach
- Is a Team Player and sees the value in supporting their peers wherever possible
- Reliable and always punctual
Please not this is a casual position working Monday to Friday, however there is potential for the role to allow for additional hours and permanency in the future.
