Your new company
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project & Business Support Officer to join local council based in Eagle Farm. Supporting a busy operational environment, you will play a key role in providing high-level administrative, coordination and project support across a range of business improvement and strategic initiatives. This position is ideal for an organised and proactive professional who enjoys coordinating activities, engaging with stakeholders and supporting the successful delivery of projects and business priorities.
Your new role
You will provide a broad range of project coordination and business support services, including:

  • Coordinating meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements
  • Preparing agendas, taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Supporting business improvement, strategic and organisational initiatives
  • Preparing reports, presentations, briefing materials and correspondence
  • Monitoring project milestones, risks, issues and deliverables
  • Maintaining records, registers and document management systems
  • Assisting with business planning, reporting and governance activities
  • Supporting communication, engagement and change-related initiatives
  • Coordinating business workflows, priorities and administrative processes
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in project coordination, business support or administration within a complex organisation
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience preparing professional reports, correspondence and meeting documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills across Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Team
  • Sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving ability
  • Experience supporting projects, governance activities, organisational change or business improvement initiatives will be highly regarded.
