Agribusiness/ Crop Claims Consultant | Sydney | $90K–$100K + Super

Do you understand yield loss, hail damage, livestock claims, or the impact of a dry spell on a crop, and want to put that knowledge to genuine use?

We're partnering with a growing specialist insurance business looking for a Claims Consultant with real agribusiness or farm claims experience, whether your background is in crop, livestock, farm property, or broader agricultural risk. This role manages a blended portfolio of crop claims and motor claims, structured deliberately around the seasonal nature of crop claims.

October to March is the peak period, driven by crop damage events, before activity eases from April through to around July as the full extent of seasonal damage is assessed and claims are progressively lodged. Motor claims provide a consistent, steady caseload through the quieter months, ensuring a balanced workload throughout the year, with meaningful work always on hand, and support in place during peak season.

You'll manage claims from lodgement through to settlement, working closely with growers, brokers, loss adjusters and other stakeholders to assess damage, determine coverage, and resolve claims fairly and efficiently.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Manage a blended portfolio of crop, agribusiness and motor claims from lodgement through to settlement, including recoveries
  • Assess crop damage and yield loss claims — hail, drought, flood, fire and related perils, working alongside agronomists and loss adjusters where required
  • Manage a steady motor caseload year-round to balance workload through quieter crop periods
  • Conduct policy interpretation and coverage analysis across your caseload
  • Determine liability, negotiate settlements, and resolve claims fairly and efficiently
  • Build genuine relationships with growers, brokers and other stakeholders, many of whom are based across regional Australia
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams to deliver well-informed, fair outcomes

Who we want to hear from:
Genuine experience in agribusiness, farm or agricultural claims is essential for this role,  whether your background is specifically in crop, livestock, farm property, or a broader agricultural portfolio. Motor claims experience is an advantage given the blended caseload, but isn't essential. Beyond that, you'll bring strong analytical instincts, confident decision-making, and a genuine interest in agriculture and regional communities.

Why join:

  • Salary $90,000–$100,000 + Super, plus annual discretionary bonus
  • A genuinely varied caseload that puts your agricultural expertise to real use, balanced with steady motor work
  • Hybrid working model after probation (1 day from home per week)
  • A close-knit, down-to-earth team that actually knows your name
  • Regular on-site broker and grower visits across regional Australia
  • An annual all-team event and quarterly get-togethers
  • Genuine career progression as the business continues to grow
  • Dogs in the office, Friday drinks, and a great team culture!
