Perfect Opportunity to Take Ownership of Your Own Venue and Lead a Team of 10
About The Company
Our client is a lively and welcoming waterfront venue located right on the water at Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin's Waterfront Precinct. Born from the shared vision of four Territorians, the venue was created by transforming a set of shipping containers into a unique space that blends modern design with a relaxed coastal vibe.
This is not a formal restaurant or a corporate hotel bar. It is an intimate venue (licensed for up to 100 patrons) where locals and visitors come together for afternoon drinks, cocktails, long lunches, sunset sessions and celebrations. Known for fresh, locally sourced food, a refined cocktail list and spectacular Darwin sunsets, our client is part of a locally owned hospitality group operating several venues across Darwin's Waterfront.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the venue, leading a team of approximately 10 staff and delivering consistently high service standards. - Leading, motivating and training a team of approximately 10 staff
- Managing rosters, recruitment and onboarding in line with agreed labour budgets
- Handling ordering, stocktakes, POS and cash reconciliation while minimising wastage
- Bringing fresh ideas for cocktails, promotions and events

- The initiative to self-manage, exercise sound judgement and follow through on tasks
- A positive, energetic personality and a hands-on approach to leading by example
- Current RSA certification and availability to work 38 to 45 hours per week, including nights and weekends
