About the role

Join a large Queensland Government program as a Senior Business Officer, leading discovery and shaping a practical future-state roadmap for systems and service capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a current-state assessment (processes, reporting, risks, opportunities) and recommend improvements.
• Capture and document business & solution requirements, including process maps and operating models.
• Run stakeholder workshops and consultations across government/non-government groups.
• Complete market scan + gap/fit analysis to assess best-of-breed options.
• Prepare executive-ready outputs (options papers, decision papers, presentations) for governance.

Highly desirable criteria

• Strong track record producing high-quality executive documentation and board-ready recommendations.
• Confident communicator who can facilitate, influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering in structured programs, ideally using Agile methods.

Desirable criteria

• Government and/or human services delivery experience.
• Exposure to Dynamics 365 and complex integration landscapes.
• Experience using Azure DevOps to support delivery planning and tracking.
• Experience working in environments with high information security requirements.

Skills and experience

• End-to-end BA capability 
• Workshop facilitation, stakeholder management and clear written communication.
• Able to translate complexity into practical, decision-ready advice.
• Comfortable working to deadlines and governance checkpoints.
