Your new companyThis South Australian Government department is delivering a major, high-profile project with significant long-term value for the community. An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Officer to support strong project governance, reporting and control across a complex programme of work.
Your new roleWorking within an established project team, you will coordinate complex project planning, administration and project control activities. You will prepare high-quality briefings, reports, presentations, submissions and governance documentation for senior stakeholders.
You will provide executive officer support to project governance committees, including coordinating agendas, minutes, action lists and decision registers. You will monitor project actions and deliverables, analyse complex information and produce regular and ad hoc reporting to support informed decision-making.
The role will also support the development and review of project control frameworks and systems across governance, scope change, lessons learnt, benefits management, risk and issue management. You will build effective relationships across a multidisciplinary environment and provide clear advice on complex project matters.
What you'll need to succeed
- Significant experience supporting complex projects at a senior project officer level in a Government setting
- Strong project governance, reporting and project control experience
- Experience providing executive officer support to senior committees
- Proven ability to prepare briefings, reports, presentations and submissions
- Strong analytical skills across quantitative and qualitative information
- Experience monitoring project actions, risks, issues and deliverables
- Highly developed written, verbal and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work within tight deadlines
- Immediate availability for the full 12-month contract
- A current and valid DHS Working with Children Check
- Willingness to complete a National Police Check through Hays if successful
