Senior Manager, Market Risk – Commodities Firm

The Role
We are partnering with a global commodities firm that is seeking a Senior Manager, Market Risk to join its Singapore team.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced risk professional to take on a broad risk oversight role covering market, credit, liquidity and operational risks across trading businesses. The successful candidate will work closely with front-office teams and senior stakeholders to support business growth while ensuring risks are effectively identified, monitored and managed.
 
Responsibilities

• Monitor market, credit, liquidity and operational risks across commodities and trading activities
• Review and approve customer and counterparty credit limits within established risk appetite frameworks
• Partner with front office stakeholders on risk matters relating to trading activities and new business initiatives
• Provide risk assessments and recommendations on products, transactions and strategic initiatives
• Support risk governance, reporting and escalation of key risk issues
• Contribute to the enhancement of risk frameworks, controls and risk management processes

Requirements

• At least 8 years of risk management experience covering market, credit, liquidity and operational risks
• Strong knowledge of commodities, futures, derivatives and other traded products
• Experience within commodities trading, brokerage, capital markets or financial services environments
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to assess complex risk exposures
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
