Your new role
As a Designer, you will play an integral role in the design and documentation of custom residential projects, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure designs are practical, compliant and aligned with project objectives.You will be involved throughout multiple project phases, from early concept development through to detailed construction documentation.Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing drawings across concept, planning and working drawing stages
- Producing accurate and detailed residential documentation
- Supporting 3D modelling and presentation materials where required
- Coordinating with estimating, selections and construction teams
- Ensuring designs meet regulatory and compliance requirements
- Applying established design systems, standards and processes
- Managing project deadlines and deliverables across multiple projects
- Collaborating with internal teams to achieve high-quality project outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Qualifications in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, Architecture or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience within residential design or drafting
- Experience delivering custom home projects will be highly regarded
- Proficiency with ArchiCAD or similar BIM software
- Strong understanding of residential construction methodologies
- Knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and local building requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
