About the Business
Our Finance, Digital and Customer Support Division oversees the department's budget and financial compliance responsibilities, its infrastructure and assets portfolio, as well as procurement and quality assurance functions, digital, data and technology and screening and financial transformation programs. They provide support and strategic advice across the department regarding a range of DHS goals, systems and processes.

About the Role
The Director, Concessions CARE Program is a pivotal executive leadership position within the Department of Human Services.
Reporting to the Director, Concessions and Interpreting Services, you will establish and lead a major reform program focused on redesigning how concession services are delivered across South Australia.
This role provides strategic leadership for the design, implementation and successful delivery of the Concessions CARE Program, including oversight of a significant technology-enabled transformation supporting ConcessionsSA.
Working closely with senior executives across government, industry partners, contractors and technology vendors, you will drive program outcomes that deliver lasting improvements for customers, service delivery and operational effectiveness.
Scope and Impact
- Establish and lead the Concessions CARE Program, setting strategic direction, governance, accountabilities and delivery frameworks.
- Lead a complex hybrid workforce comprising government employees, contractors, vendors and subject matter experts.
- Deliver program outcomes on time and within budget while managing risks and minimising operational disruption.
- Drive business transformation through agile delivery approaches, customer-centred design and the effective use of emerging technologies.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior executives across State and Commonwealth Government agencies and external partners.
- Oversee significant financial, physical and human resources, ensuring strong governance, performance and value for money.
- Manage the performance of contractors and third-party vendors to achieve agreed outcomes and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and SA Government ICT, privacy and security standards.
- Design and implement a sustainable future-state operating model, ensuring capability, expertise and support arrangements are in place for ongoing service delivery.

Essential Qualifications
Incumbent should hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, Information Technology or related discipline or relevant experience.
Role Status: Term up 31/12/2029
Salary Range: $161,537 to $372,779 (SAES1)
