Eclections Australia Pty Ltd operates a busy, high‑volume café in Paradise Point QLD, focusing on fresh, seasonal produce, excellent customer service and strict food safety standards. We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
Position: Cook -
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes in accordance with Cafe 7's menu, recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare ingredients for daily food service, including washing, cutting, portioning and organising food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, stovetops and other commercial cooking appliances.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is prepared consistently and to the required standards.
- Ensure appropriate presentation, portion sizes and quality of meals before service.
- Assist with the preparation of daily specials and catering orders as required.
- Monitor food supplies, assist with stock rotation and maintain appropriate food storage practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and comply with food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during busy breakfast and lunch services.
