Spinifex Recruiting is seeking a proactive and hands-on Service Advisor / Fleet Administrator to support the day-to-day management of a busy fleet of traffic control vehicles and operational assets.
This is a diverse role that combines fleet coordination, administration, rostering and field-based problem solving. You'll be the go-to person for vehicle servicing, repairs, registrations, maintenance scheduling and asset compliance, while also assisting with workforce rostering and operational administration. The role involves both office-based work and regular interaction with vehicles, mechanics, suppliers and field staff.

The Opportunity
This position is ideal for candidates with experience in fleet administration, service advising, transport operations, workshop coordination or similar roles who enjoy managing multiple priorities and keeping operations running smoothly.
You'll play a key role in ensuring company vehicles remain roadworthy, compliant and available for operational requirements while supporting rostering, record keeping and general administration functions. The successful candidate will be confident communicating with mechanics, organising repairs, sourcing parts and making decisions independently.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate scheduled vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor vehicle faults, log issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Liaise with mechanics, suppliers and repairers to minimise downtime.
- Source and purchase vehicle parts and equipment.
- Maintain accurate fleet records and asset registers.
- Coordinate vehicle inspections and mobilisation of new fleet vehicles.
- Assist with rostering traffic controllers and operational workforce scheduling.
- Respond to vehicle-related issues raised by field staff.
- Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Support invoicing, administration and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate planned and responsive maintenance activities across fleet assets.
