Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Chef to join our catering team on a casual basis.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Provide high standard of preparing and cooking meals
• Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
• Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients
• Previous experience in a Hospital or Aged Care environment highly advantageous but not essential

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualification as a chef from a recognised training provider
• Time management skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Works well independently and within a team

Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital.  We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.

We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
