With a strong focus on innovation, operational excellence and sustainability, this organisation offers the opportunity to lead large-scale facilities operations across a diverse portfolio of sites throughout Central Queensland.Based in Gladstone, this leadership position oversees facilities and maintenance services across Bundaberg, Gladstone, Childers and Biloela.
Your New RoleAs Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of facilities maintenance services across a multi-site retail portfolio. Managing a large and diverse workforce of approximately 150 employees and contractors, you will drive operational performance, safety, compliance and maintenance outcomes while ensuring an exceptional customer and store experience.Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and developing facilities professionals, technicians, operational leaders and external contractors.
• Managing end-to-end financial accountability for facilities and maintenance operations across the region.
• Delivering proactive maintenance and facilities strategies to improve service delivery, efficiency and asset performance.
• Driving a strong safety culture and implementing best-practice safety initiatives across all locations.
• Conducting routine operational and compliance reviews to ensure standards are consistently met.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers to achieve business objectives.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across facilities and maintenance services.

What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will be an experienced operational leader with a strong background managing large teams across multiple sites.You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Facilities Manager position within retail, supermarket or a multi-site environment.
• Demonstrated success managing large, diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Financial and budget management experience with responsibility for operational performance.
• A strong understanding of workplace health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance, essential services, refrigeration, air conditioning or electrical systems will be highly regarded.
