  • Drive community engagement and improve guest experience.

  • Pub General Manager, up to $150K + relocation support
  • Oversee F&B, gaming and accommodation
  • Build your team and shape the venue’s future

This is an opportunity to relocate to regional NSW and take full operational leadership of an established, profitable pub with genuine potential for further growth.

The foundations are already there. The business is performing well, but there’s plenty of opportunity to take it further.

The owners are looking for a commercially minded, hands-on General Manager who can strengthen the team, elevate the food and beverage offering and bring fresh ideas to the business. Someone who can see where the opportunities lie, take ownership and turn that potential into measurable results.

This is not a caretaker appointment.

You’ll have the freedom to build your management team, bring fresh ideas to the business and set the standards that will shape its next chapter. With further investment planned, there’s genuine scope to make your mark and influence where the venue goes next.

Relocation assistance and complimentary short-term accommodation will help make the move easier, while experienced operational support means you’ll have the backing you need to succeed.

The Venue

Backed by a privately owned hospitality group, this established regional pub combines a loyal local following with multiple revenue streams and clear opportunities for improvement.

Expect:

  • An established, profitable business with scope to strengthen performance
  • Food, beverage and gaming operations requiring visible, commercially disciplined leadership
  • Refurbished guest accommodation with opportunities to grow business beyond weekend trade
  • The opportunity to recruit key management and kitchen talent
  • Plans for further investment, with the right leader and team central to moving them forward
  • Engaged ownership that welcomes ideas, constructive challenge and a clear business plan

The goal is to create a venue that appeals to a broader customer base, gives people more reasons to visit and keeps them coming back, while driving stronger, more consistent performance across every part of the business.

The owners are looking for someone who can recognise the potential, bring the right ideas and turn them into real commercial results.

The Role

You will take full operational and commercial leadership across the venue, including:

  • Ownership of the business plan, budget and commercial performance, with accountability for revenue, labour and operating costs
  • Recruitment, coaching and development of your management team, creating clear standards and stronger day-to-day accountability
  • Development of the food and beverage offer alongside the kitchen team, improving quality, service and repeat visitation
  • Gaming operations, compliance and responsible venue management
  • Accommodation performance, including building local business relationships and identifying opportunities to increase bookings
  • Community engagement through local businesses, sporting clubs and organisations
  • Guest experience, service standards and consistent operating routines across the business

This is a hands-on, floor-led leadership role, particularly while you establish yourself.

You will get to know the team, understand the trading patterns and learn where the venue fits within its community before setting the priorities with group operations.

From there, the expectation is clear: build the team, own the plan and deliver the results.

The longer-term goal is to develop capable managers around you, creating room to focus increasingly on business growth rather than personally covering every operational gap.

About You

  • A proven pub General Manager, or an accomplished 2IC ready to take full venue responsibility
  • A strong gaming background and a practical understanding of running a multifaceted pub operation
  • Commercially disciplined, with evidence of managing wages, improving revenue and lifting performance
  • Confident recruiting, mentoring and holding people accountable
  • Highly visible and guest-focused, with the ability to earn the trust of both staff and regulars
  • Comfortable bringing ideas to ownership and taking responsibility for their execution
  • Genuinely ready to relocate and become part of the local community

Strong pub operations and gaming experience are essential.

You do not need to arrive with every answer. You do need the judgement to understand the business, the confidence to make decisions and the leadership to bring people with you.

An experienced GM will bring a proven commercial track record. A step-up candidate will need to demonstrate the operational depth, maturity and ambition to take on broader responsibility.

What’s On Offer

  • Up to $150K, with the final salary reflecting experience and demonstrated performance
  • Relocation assistance, tailored to the successful candidate’s circumstances
  • Complimentary short-term accommodation, with arrangements agreed to help you get established
  • A performance-based bonus opportunity, linked to agreed targets
  • Genuine operational autonomy within an agreed business plan
  • Experienced operational mentoring and support, alongside a wider network of managers across the group
  • Scope for career progression, through growth within the venue or larger opportunities across the business as results and vacancies align

This is an opportunity to make a regional move with real career purpose. Take ownership of an established business with genuine room to grow, build a team you’re proud to lead and make a lasting impact on the venue’s performance and future.

The owners want someone who sees this as an opportunity to build something, not simply run what’s already there.

If you’re an experienced hospitality leader ready for a new challenge, greater ownership and the chance to make a genuine difference, we’d welcome a confidential conversation.
