Your new company
Our client is seeking a highly capable Project Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis. Working closely with finance and project stakeholders, you will play a critical role in documenting and interpreting existing MYOB processes and assisting with the transition to a new Oracle-based system. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys systems, process improvement, and working on business-critical transformation projects.
Your new role
Reporting to senior finance stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
- Becoming the subject matter expert for existing MYOB financial processes
- Analysing and documenting current finance workflows and procedures
- Working closely with the project team to support the transition from MYOB to Oracle
- Identifying process improvements and system efficiencies
- Assisting with data validation, reconciliation and reporting requirements
- Providing finance and systems expertise throughout the project life cycle
- Supporting change management and user understanding of current processes
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated experience as a Project Accountant, Systems Accountant or Senior AccountantAdvanced MYOB knowledge and practical systems expertisePrevious involvement in finance system implementation, migration or transformation projectsStrong understanding of financial processes, controls and reporting requirementsExperience documenting business processes and liaising with project teamsExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsOracle experience will be highly regarded but is not essentialAvailable to commence immediatelyWhat you'll get in return
