Quality Assurance Technician
- Conduct routine and non-routine quality checks in compliance with ISO and HACCP standards.
- Raise and investigate NCRs and customer complaints, and participate in internal and external audits.
- Drive food safety and continuous improvement projects while ensuring products meet specifications.
About the company/role:
Our Sydney office is recruiting for an experienced QC/QA food science graduate to work as part of the quality team with a well-established pet food manufacturer based in Southwest Sydney. Our client is committed to providing locally sourced fresh and nutritious food to cats and dogs. This role is a full-time, casual, on-going role. The role will be mostly day shift (6am-2pm) and it is a requirement to work on a Saturday on a rotating basis. Flexibility to also required to work on afternoon shift (2pm-10pm) and night shift (10pm-6am) if leave coverage is required.
Duties:
- Routine and non-routine quality checks in compliance with ISO and HACCP standards
- Raising and investigating NCRs and customer complaints
- Direct involvement with internal and external audits
- Traceability of raw materials and approved supplier programs
- Maintaining documentation and ensuring CCPs are achieved
- Driving food safety and continuous improvement projects
- Sensory evaluation and ensuring products meet specifications
Skills/experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related discipline
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF
- Ability to work as part of a fast-paced dynamic team
- Strong computer skills MS Word/Excel
