Contractual role for Document Preparation Officer in Redfern location

Role Overview
This is a Document Preparation Officer position focused on preparing and processing lower-complexity banking documentation. The role operates in a mid-office/operations environment and does not require previous business banking experience. A variety of backgrounds, including hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing banking documentation using an established suite of templates. Working closely with internal stakeholders who act as the link between the business and the end customer. Ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with required standards. Handling content-heavy tasks that require strong attention to detail and accuracy. No direct customer interaction is involved.
Candidate Profile
Business banking or financial services experience is not essential. Customer service experience is not a requirement and, in some cases, candidates without a customer service background may be better suited. Strong attention to detail is critical. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. Self-motivated individuals are preferred, as the role is not suited to candidates seeking a call-centre style environment.
Training & Onboarding
A comprehensive onboarding and training programme was provided. New starters receive classroom-style training with their Team Leader present in the office throughout the training period. Ongoing support is provided by a dedicated team, coach, and Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs). Training progression includes: learning role content and processes. Completing applications alongside experienced team members. Processing applications independently with quality assurance checks. All work is quality reviewed, and employees must successfully complete 10 error-free ("clean") documents before being signed off to work independently.
Working ArrangementsStandard business hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Based in Redfern.
Full-time office attendance is required during the training and competency-building phase.
Once competency is achieved, employees can transition to a hybrid arrangement of 2 days in the office per week.
