Hays is partnering with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their People & Culture team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee life cycle while partnering with leaders to deliver practical people solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support across the employee life cycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, recruitment, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with performance, conduct, grievance, and investigation matters in line with employment legislation and organisational policies.
  • Support the development and review of HR policies, procedures, and people frameworks.
  • Coordinate learning and development activities, training programmes, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to HR reporting, workforce analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and employment conditions.
  • Support HR projects, system enhancements, and change management activities as required.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards, and HR best practice.
  • Experience providing advice on employee relations and performance management matters.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative and solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (desirable).
