NFP organisation are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner

Your new company:
This not-for-profit organisation is dedicated to delivering meaningful services that make a positive impact across the community. Due to an increase in workforce initiatives and operational priorities, an experienced HR Business Partner is required to join the People & Culture team on an initial 6-month contract.

Your new role:
As a trusted HR Business Partner, you will support leaders across a diverse workforce, providing pragmatic and commercially sound HR advice while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industrial instruments.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with managers on employee relations and performance management matters
  • Managing workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes
  • Providing expert advice on the interpretation and application of SCHADS Awards and employment legislation
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives and workforce planning activities
  • Coaching leaders on people management best practice
  • Assisting with policy development, compliance and workforce risk management
  • Contributing to employee engagement and culture initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to drive positive people outcomes

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or equivalent
  • Strong employee relations expertise, including managing complex casework
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying the SCHADS Award
  • Experience within the not-for-profit, community services, disability, aged care or healthcare sectors will be highly regarded
  • Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and contemporary HR practices
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and evolving environment
