- Lead the site People & Culture function and advise the Site General Manager and leadership team.

About them
Our client is a leading Australian resources organisation with a reputation for operational excellence, community partnership and a strong commitment to sustainable regional employment. With a substantial workforce, a significant presence in its local community and ongoing investment in future growth, the business offers the scale and complexity of a major operation while retaining the agility and autonomy often absent in larger, more centralised organisations.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Site General Manager and forming part of the site leadership team, this role leads an established and high performing People & Culture function supporting a predominantly residential workforce. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, leadership capability, talent and succession, organisational development, community engagement, psychosocial wellbeing and culture. Key priorities include supporting the transition of a new General Manager, partnering through a major underground contractor transition, preparing for future enterprise agreement negotiations and driving practical diversity and inclusion initiatives aligned to corporate objectives.
About you
We are seeking an experienced People & Culture leader who has successfully operated in complex, operationally intensive environments. You will bring strong commercial acumen, sound judgement and the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders while balancing business outcomes with workforce considerations. Experience within mining, resources, energy, heavy industry, infrastructure or similarly complex environments will be highly regarded. Community relations experience is not essential, however an appreciation for the importance of regional stakeholder engagement and the ability to partner effectively with established community specialists is critical.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in environments where you can influence outcomes, build capability and create meaningful change. For someone who enjoys autonomy, embraces complexity and is motivated by the opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact, this role offers the platform to truly put your stamp on an important operation and contribute to the future success of both the site and the broader organisation.
